All Explorers teachers are:

  • FBI fingerprinted

  • Background checked

  • CPR/FA trained and certified

  • Required to complete 24-36 hours of continuing education annually

 Open Positions

  • Explorers Learning Center's After-school care program is much more than childcare. We offer homework help, open gym time, and many kids choice activities.  If you enjoy being a positive influence in a child's day, you might be the right fit for us!

    Responsibilities include:

    • Following lesson plans and activity schedules

    • Providing loving and enthusiastic child care

    • Ensuring the safety of all students and staff

    • Assisting with homework

    • Assisting with snacks

    • Guiding students in appropriate behavior and setting a good example

    • Giving students a fun and memorable summer experience

    • Making Explorer's a fantastic place to play and learn

    Schedule:

    • 20-40 hours per week

    • Flexible shifts available

    • Must be 18 years or older

    • High school diploma or equivalent

    • 1+ years previous experience (paid or volunteer) working with children

    • Ability to pass a comprehensive background check

    • Hours would be 3:30pm-6:30pm, M-F, and day camps when school is out

    • Must have a valid drivers license 

    • Ability to drive a 15 passenger Van

  • Explorers Learning Center is looking for enthusiastic preschool teachers to grow with us and create an inspiring place to learn, play, and grow!

    Explorers Learning Center preschool follows a Reggio inspired curriculum and style of teaching that builds in time during our day to allows teachers to dig in and explore concepts that children are interested in, and even verge slightly off topic to answer questions kids have posed. This style of teaching encourages creativity, critical thinking, and independence. Another primary of Reggio that Explorers Learning Center utilizes, is that the classroom is the third teacher. Children’s artwork is displayed and documented to stimulate future lessons.

    Shifts can vary from 30-40 hours per week. Pay commensurate with experience.

    Our preschool is open from 6:30 am until 6:30 pm and our work shifts are designed around each classroom's individual needs.

    Teachers will be involved in:

    • Setting up classrooms

    • Creating and following Reggio lesson plans and activity schedules

    • Leading games and activities

    • Providing loving child care tailored to each individual child's needs.

    • Ensuring the safety of all students and staff

    • Assisting with lunch and snack procedures

    • Guiding students in appropriate behavior and setting good examples

    • Giving students a fun and memorable experience

    Schedule:

    • Monday - Friday

    Requirements:

    • 2+ years previous experience (paid or volunteer) working with children

    • High School Diploma

    • Driver's License

    • Ability to pass a comprehensive background investigation

    Job Type:

    • Full-time

    Pay:

    • $12.00 - $17.00 per hour

    • Assisting with homework

    • Assisting with snacks

    • Making Explorer's a fantastic place to play and learn

    • Safely dropping off and picking up students to and from school

    Schedule:

    • 20-40 hours per week

    • Flexible shifts available

    • Must be 18 years or older

    • High school diploma or equivalent

    • At least 2 years of experience (paid or volunteer) working with children

    • Ability to pass a comprehensive background check

    • Ability to drive a 15 passenger van
